Hearty Love was fully dam-raised. We put him with the other bucks at 10 weeks old. When we saw him compared to Rocket Milk Blaster, he was only about 1 inch shorter at the withers than Rocket, who was 9 months at the time, (not to mention that Rocket was already large for his age to us).
Hearty Love is very long and dairy, yet quite masculine. He has a nearly perfect rear leg set, he is wide between the hocks, and his front legs are great as well.
His top line is long and level and he has a wide rump. We are excited to watch this young buck mature into an adult, (as we are with all the young goats!)
Unfortunately... We had "disbudded" Hearty Love quite a bit too late. So he currently has about a horn and a half! (hopefully we'll have this taken care of as time goes on...) He is fairly friendly and doesn't use his horns the wrong way so, he's okay for now.
Currently, (as of early July 2016) Hearty Love has grown tremendously, and is taller than Fashion's Stud! Its almost hard to believe he's only 10 months old. He hasn't quite developed his width of chest/barrel and front legs yet, but it'll take some time for him to mature. We are breeding him to several does for early winter kiddings.
