Bucksie Dear is an AWESOME MILKER!! Bucksie Dear kidded her second time, her udder was HUGE! The next day, even after her kids (1 buck/2does) had been with her, we milked her and she made nearly 4 lbs of colostrum, with some to spare in her udder. 

Even Desi, our best milk producer, (probably second now because of Bucksie Dear), only made about 2-3 pounds of colostrum, and she is a heavy milker.

Above are some pictures of Bucksie Dear's udder the day she kidded, (about 14 hours before kidding). Her udder looked like it was protruding out the back, but after she kidded we realized that it was her kids inside her pushing out her udder, (you cannot see this in the pictures). And her udder still grew bigger than the pictures here!

We are happy with Bucksie Dear and pleased with her score (she got the highest score of our first fresheners).

She was our first doe to appraise for our first time this year (2015). The appraiser explained to us many new things to watch for. 

Although Bucksie Dear acted nervous and a bit agitate, we were happy to see her score for her first time freshening.

A few weeks after kidding, she quickly became our 4th best milk producer out of all our does in milk.

Very friendly, and a HUGE doe, in fact we wonder if she might grow to be oversized, (her sire was over height).

Its almost hard to believe she's only 2 1/2 years old.

Bucksie Dear has perhaps one of the best milk pedigrees of all our goats. On her sire's side, there is some excellent Promisedland goats.

Promisedland CP Seymore Spots (paternal great-grand sire) has 3 Superior Genetic kids, 2 being bucks, (which are generally harder to earn their SG award),

Bucksie's paternal great grandam is 1*M 4*D SG NC Promisedland MG Diva, whom in one of her lactations produced over 6 lbs of milk a day. On Bucksie Dear's dam's side, one of her ancestors is SGCH Little Rascals Black Dahlia, who was LA'ed in 2009 at EEEE 92!

There is also 5 other SG does and bucks that haven't even been mentioned here, (you can see them below in Bucksie Dear's 5 generation pedigree). All that said, Bucksie Dear's pedigree speaks for itself! 

We are keeping an eye on her as we are looking forward to seeing her develop more in the future.
